OUR STORY
In 1996, a zoning law change created the opportunity for obsolete office buildings with deep floor plates in Manhattan’s Financial District to be converted for residential use.
Principal of CCM, Michael Siciliani, was the founder and managing member of Newmark Construction Services, the pioneer in these adaptive reuse ventures. Starting with the 400,000-square-foot commercial building at 90/100 John Street in 1997, the firm went on to become the premier residential conversion specialists in New York, converting more than 40 former commercial properties, totaling over 13 million square feet, into more than 13,000 residential units.
Over the years, our staff has grown to include a diverse group of construction professionals including architects, engineers, planners, and budding developers. Many on our team began their careers with large-scale, ground-up builders. In response to overwhelming demand, we have expanded our bandwidth to include new construction services while maintaining the same valued transparent, collaborative formula our many repeat clients have come to trust and rely upon.
Today, CCM harnesses the strength of our team’s collective experience, with a depth of industry relationships among design professionals and sub-contractors to provide the most comprehensive and cost-effective integrated delivery process available.
